For early career industrial scientists who have achieved a significant level of experience or expertise in an area of chromatography.

Industrial Award:

This award was established to recognise early career scientists who have achieved a significant level of contribution or expertise in an area of chromatography or application of a separation science technique. The Chromatographic Society annually recognise outstanding contributions to the field by awarding the scientist £200, a short news article on their work on www.chromsoc.com and provision of evidence statement for their continuing professional development portfolio.

Industrial line managers or supervisors are invited to nominate an early career scientist (up to senior level or within 5 years of entry into the field) who has demonstrated a high standard of chromatography application in their work. The application form can be downloaded from the link below.

Examples of significant contributions are stated, however this list is not exhaustive. The awards board evaluate contributions at entry level, therefore any experience or skill that has deepened the chromatographic expertise of the scientist would be considered.

  • Significant contribution to separation science (research project, product development)
  • Development of approaches with a basis of analytical sustainability
  • Evidence of improved results or process
  • Implementation of new physical or digital tools
  • Journal or magazine publication
  • Community engagement (society/network)

The nomination window for 2024 is 8th January to 17th  May, and the award will be presented at the ChromSoc Spring Symposium.
