Practical LC–MS Troubleshooting Workshop, Cambridgeshire, 14th October 2026
The International Reid Bioanalytical Forum will begin with a hands-on training workshop focused on practical LC–MS troubleshooting, designed to provide scientists with platform-agnostic skills that can be applied across a wide range of LC–MS systems.
We are excited to announce a comprehensive Practical LC–MS Troubleshooting Workshop, hosted by leading industry experts. Combining focused theory sessions with practical laboratory exercises, this course is designed to help attendees develop the confidence and skills needed to diagnose, understand and resolve common LC–MS challenges.
The workshop will be held at Resolian Fordham Lab (Cambridgeshire, UK) on 14 October 2026.
Course format
The workshop will include two focused lecture sessions covering the underlying theory, supported by practical laboratory sessions specifically designed to reinforce key learning points through hands-on experience.

Part 1: Liquid Chromatography Fundamentals and Troubleshooting

- Diagnosing peak shape problems

LC–MS is one of the most powerful analytical tools available to bioanalytical scientists, yet troubleshooting system performance remains one of the most common challenges faced in the laboratory. This workshop provides attendees with practical, transferable skills that can be applied regardless of instrument vendor or platform.
By combining theory with hands-on exercises, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the root causes of common chromatographic and mass spectrometric issues and learn effective strategies for diagnosing and resolving them.
