For undergraduate students who have achieved a significant level of experience or expertise in an area of chromatography.

Student Award:

This award was established to recognise undergraduate and postgraduate students who have achieved a significant level of contribution or expertise in an area of chromatography or application of a separation science technique. The Chromatographic Society annually recognise outstanding contributions to the field by awarding the student £200 and a short news article on their work on www.chromsoc.com .

Academic and industrial supervisors are invited to nominate a student who has demonstrated a high standard of chromatography application in their academic studies and/or work placement. The application form can be downloaded from the link below.

Examples of significant contributions are stated, however this list is not exhaustive. The awards board evaluate contributions at the student level, therefore any experience or skill that has deepened the chromatographic expertise of the student would be considered.

  • Significant contribution to separation science (research project or studentship)
  • Evidence of improved results
  • Implementation of new physical or digital tools
  • Journal or magazine publication
  • Community engagement (society/network)

The nomination window for 2024 is 8th January to 17th May, and the award will be presented at the ChromSoc Spring Symposium.
